The Practice has been based in Eastbourne since 1982, but was incorporated as STEPHEN WILSON PARTNERSHIP LTD in 1997. The Practice has been traditionally strong in the residential, educational, commercial and leisure sectors, and has an impressive list of both developer and contractor clients.

A full range of services in the fields of structural and civil engineering, soil investigation and environmental engineering can be provided, together with a comprehensive appraisal and design development service, prior to or post site purchase. In addition, our building surveying section deals with such matters as party wall awards and planning supervisor services.

The directors and staff are energetic and enthusiastic, with a practical and commercial approach to the scheming and design of all projects. Directors are always on hand to provide an overview on each project and to ensure that that the client's requirements are being met. Our memberships of Constructionline, BSI, TSO, and Construction Best Practice, ensures that we are up to date with the latest legislation, methods of construction and latest available structural information.

Computers play a major part in our day to day working activities and we are fully set up to undertake electronic document exchange, via "always on" internet and intranet connections. We utilise such software as Autocad 2004, Masterseries, CSC Fastrack, WinDes and Autotrack for both structural and civil engineering designs.

As a result of many successes in the design and build sector, Stephen Wilson Partnership Ltd, provides design advice to several major contractors, such as Kier and Mowlem Building. These relationships have led to excellent contractor feedback, ensuring that the Practice produces practical and buildable solutions to construction challenges. Our non-specialisation has also led to us having knowledge of a diverse range of structural types, such as hospitals, schools, offices, residential and care homes, retail, commercial and residential flats and houses.

Repeat business with both private and public sector clients is the backbone of the Practice, with Taylor Woodrow, David Wilson Homes, Berkeley Homes, David Lloyd Leisure, Davies Street Properties, Eastbourne Borough Council and Hyde Housing Association among our regular clients. We aim to retain and satisfy our regular developer clients by paying close attention to their needs and offering a commercially aware service at reasonable cost.
