SWP are pleased to be working on this site on the river frontage in Shoreham.

The proposed site will include residential apartments and houses with a central parking courtyard.

The Stage 4 design work has been completed, and site have made a start on some of the piling and foundation works for the houses. The flats are classified as a High Risk Building and the team are working with the BSR for Gateway 2 under the Building Safety Act to gain approval.

The foundations are piled with reinforced concrete flood walls and deck slabs. The houses will be traditional construction for the superstructure, and the flats will be reinforced concrete throughout.

SWP have been involved in the Structural Engineering only and the river wall works and civil engineering works generally have been carried out by other consultants.

This is one of three projects currently requiring Gateway 2 HRB approval and we are interested to see how this goes. It is certainly very involved from first impressions and has been an education and steep learning curve. This will prepare us for future projects!

Initial site work and the flood wall construction is progressing well.
