SWP are pleased to be working on this interesting housing project in Epsom.
The proposal was to demolish the old residential housing blocks and construct a new 4 storey apartment block and 5 separate houses. This included an improved site access and increased parking capacity on the site and in the road.
The site had a natural gradient, and the apartment building was set in to this with some retaining walls to maintain the original slopes and upper ground access to the higher-level car park. These apartment buildings and houses were all built traditionally.
The ground conditions were quite good and traditional strip foundations were possible. There were some small retaining walls around the site to create pathways and access between the units.
Works are well underway on site now with the buildings almost completed and external works commencing.
