Site works are well underway and Westridge Construction are cracking on with both of these schools. Both schools will remain open during construction, which will be an interesting and challenging project to deliver the completed works. With careful planning the main works have been constructed during the summer holidays, to avoid clashing with important student education time.

Hove Park sports hall: the steel frame is up and masonry is being constructed, followed by the cladding. Varndea: steel upper floor and roof frames are up and the infill is progressing well.

The civil engineering and drainage will need us to tie into the existing school system with suitable attenuation and flow restrictors to ensure that no increased flood risk occurs. The road access and car parking will also be altered and improved.
