SWP are pleased to be working on this luxury property development in Brighton and site works are progressing with the RC frame going up quickly now.

This is primarily a reinforced concrete frame building with a basement and underground parking garage. The building is curved, stepping in as it rises above ground level with large panoramic windows, overlooking the marina and with great sea views.

I think it looks a bit like a wedding cake or a cruise ship, which I guess is why I am an Engineer and not an Architect.

Foundations are to be a reinforced concrete raft slab in waterproof concrete with a secondary external membrane, all by specialist suppliers.

Civil engineering is also under construction and comprises of linking up the new foul water drainage system with the original, and provide additional soakaways in the chalk for the surface water. The gardens are proposed to be landscaped with the likelihood of a new outdoor pool also.
