St Bedes School, Hailsham

About the projects:

SWP have been providing an engineering service to the school, at both the Hailsham and Eastbourne campuses, for over 15 years. Projects carried out included the following:-

Hailsham Campus: Traditionally built 3 storey buildings providing student accommodation on campus. Also a new science building, swimming pool, theatre and library facilities.

Eastbourne Campus: New £3.5m refectory building with classrooms and offices above. Large clear spans were required here, which led to a deep girder beam solution to support offices and corridors above. Also at Eastbourne £1.1m new classroom block built on “stilts” over 2 floors of existing classrooms.
